Hang up with a V-belt |

Unscrew speedometer shaft (9) or inductive sensor (85a) |

due to brake fluid contacting skin and eyes. |
Only pour brake fluid into suitable, appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses when handling brake fluid. |

Remove transmission downwards at an angle |

Unscrew ground strap (27) from transmission |

Unscrew transmission from engine block |
Vehicles without dual-mass flywheel |

Lightly lubricate splined shaft profile of drive shaft (33) |
Check transmission fluid level |

| 13 |
Check thrust bearing (3), release fork (4) and deep-groove ball bearing of crankshaft |
|
|
| 14 |
Install in reverse order |

|
| 15 |
Check transmission fluid level |
Correct oil level = bottom edge of filler opening |
