Function Test

CAUTION: To avoid damaging control modules all electrical testing should be done with a DVOM. DO NOT use an analog meter or test light to check control module circuits.

Use function test to determine which system test to perform. See Fig 1 . If problem is identified, perform appropriate test step under ACCELERATION SLIP REGULATION (ASR), ELECTRONIC TRACTION SYSTEM (ETS) & SPEED SENSITIVE POWER STEERING (SPS) ELECTRICAL TESTS PROGRAM (SECTION 23)  . If problem is not identified, continue diagnosis. See SYMPTOM INDEX  .
