Test 5: Oil Level Indicator Lamp

Ensure oil level is okay. Disconnect oil level sensor harness connector. Using a jumper wire, connect oil level sensor harness connector terminal to ground. Start engine and let idle. If oil level indicator lamp illuminates, replace oil level sensor. If oil level lamp illuminates, check the following items and repair as necessary:

• Check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
• Check electronic circuit board.
• Check bulb.
