Purpose of radio frequency/infrared DAS control module - GF80.30-P-4012-01A

The radio frequency/infrared DAS control module has the following purposes:

Radio frequency/infrared remote control for central locking

Reception and evaluation of radio frequency and infrared signals

After recognition of valid radio frequency or infrared signal

- Actuation	- of central locking (CL)
- of anti-theft alarm (ATA)	- of convenience feature (CF)
-of confirmation via turn signals with combination relay.
Reading in	- and evaluating the mechanical lock switch signals (SN1 - unlock, SN2 - lock), only

	The relocking signal
	The "hazard warning flasher active" signal.

Drive authorization system stage 2b (DAS 2b)

Control of the coil for the transponder on the ignition/starter switch
Reading in and evaluating the transponder signal
Releasing engine control module via CAN bus when transponder code is valid.

The radio frequency/infrared DAS control module (N54/4) evaluates the transponder data received and releases the engine control via the CAN bus when valid.
