Pulling jammed rear axle shaft flange out and in (wheel carrier removed) - AR35.20-P-0130-04A

IMPORTANT Special tool allocation

Model 140: 

Removal and installation tool 140 589 08 43 00

Model 210: 

Extractor and insertion tool 124 589 05 43 00

Pull out jammed rear axle shaft flange (wheel carrier removed). 

  1. Press out rear axle shaft flange (10) using a removal and installation tool (010) and suitable drift (010x) with a hydraulic press.

    Pull in rear-axle shaft flange 

  2. Draw in rear axle shaft flange (10) using insertion tool (08a, 08b, 08c, 08e, 08i) into double-row angular ball bearing (8).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the pressure plate (small, 08c), part 03 abuts the bearing inner race correctly during the pulling in process (arrow).
