Removing and installing radio - ra820a1407502x(7502)

Quiescent current retention unit disconnect, connect.
Ground lead on battery disconnect, connect.
Removal keys (1) insert, remove.
Radio (A2), radio control module (A2/4) or radio/ navigation system pushbutton unit (A2/29) pull out, slide in.
NOTE: Push retaining springs back on removed radio and pull out removal keys (1).
Electrical connections disconnect, reconnect.
NOTE: Vehicles with automatic pilot system
  • After reconnecting the battery the language is automatically reloaded (approx. 15 min.). The radio and navigation control module must remain switched on until the message "Language loaded" appears on the display.
  • After replacing the radio and navigation control module (APS) the following settings must be made:
    1. Activate selection menu by pressing RDS key and key 5 simultaneously and then switch on radio.
    2. Select loudspeaker system with cursor key and confirm with enter key.
NOTE: The two retaining springs on the side of the radio engage in the cut-out on the center console.

The removal keys are obtainable as replacement parts.
