Installation of overdrive brake piston and multidiscs for overdrive brake - AR27.50-P-0740-03A

IMPORTANT Before installing the thrust washer (173) ensure that the lubricating nozzle (arrow) is installed in the transmission housing.

  1. Lubricate both O-rings of the overdrive brake piston (192) with ATF oil
  2. Press piston into the housing.
  3. Insert thrust washer (173) so that the lug for the anti-rotation device is located in the housing.
  4. Insert Teflon rings (196).

    IMPORTANT

    Press into the groove until the joint meets

  5. Insert cam spring (191).
  6. Install locking ring (190).

    IMPORTANT

    Do not mix up locking ring (190) as this has a bevelled joint

  7. Insert damping spring (195).
  8. Arrange multi-discs for the overdrive brake and insert individually.

  9. Carefully insert overdrive clutch multi-disc carrier (172) in the overdrive brake multi-discs

    IMPORTANT

    The multi-disc carrier is correctly assembled when it fits tightly against the thrust ring after being lifted up gently.
