Installation of piston K2 in outer multi-disc carrier - AR27.51-P-0820-01A

Install radial lip-type sealing rings (12, 13) on piston (2).

In the process, ensure that the sealing ring is not twisted and that the sealing lip points in the direction of the arrow.

3 Place sleeve (021) on outer multiple-disc carrier (1).
4 Lubricate sleeve (021) and sealing rings (12, 13) with ATF oil.
5 Carefully place piston (2) in outer multiple-disc carrier (1).
6 Press down piston (2) without tilting it and turning it slightly.

Checking for leakage between outer multi-disc carrier (1) and piston guide ring (7)

6 In order to check the O-ring (9) between the outer multi-disc carrier (1) and the piston guide ring (7) for leakage, the piston guide ring (7) must be filled with a little paraffin or benzene. Then observe whether the fluid reaches the inside (arrow) of the outer multi-disc carrier (1).

If leakage is detected, the outer multi-disc carrier must be replaced
