    Notes on scrapping

The relevant safety provisions are to be observed when scrapping accumulators.

In order to eliminate the basic pressure in the accumulator, drill carefully on the convex side with a 3 mm drill until the gas flows out. To prevent accidents caused by the outliving gas and to protect against drilling chips, safety glasses and gloves must be worn. The hole is to be drilled with the minimum possible feed.

Apply as little pressure as possible when drilling the orifice (arrow).
