Fitting camshaft adjuster to inlet camshaft - AR05.20-P-7201-02AO

Attaching camshaft adjuster to inlet camshafts 

  1. Fit flange shaft (16) onto camshaft (22); pay attention to locating pin (21).
  2. Bolt flange shaft (16) to camshaft (22).

    Counterhold camshaft with wrench (25) SPECIAL TOOL 104 589 01 01 00 for this step and tighten bolts (15).

    Pay attention to tightening torque.

  3. Push positioning plunger (14) onto flange shaft (16) in the fixed position rotating clockwise.

  4. Push camshaft sprocket (13) onto positioning plunger (14) in the fixed position rotating counter-clockwise.

  5. Fit on cover (12).
  6. Screw on nut (6); counterhold camshaft (22) with wrench (15) 104 589 01 01 00 for this step.

  7. Fit on armature (4).

    IMPORTANT The roll pin (arrow) in the armature (4)should be matched with the flat on the control plunger (18).

  8. Screw on bolt (3); counterhold armature (4) at the flat (arrow) for this step.
