Removing and installing coolant thermostat - RA20001201100X(20-1100)

Coolant drain from radiator (20-4200) .
Fan shroud ring take off, place over fan, fit on.
IMPORTANT The 4 catch studs of the fan shroud ring ensure correctly located in the fan shroud when installing.
Coolant hoses (1 and 2) take off, fit on.
Coolant thermostat housing cover (3) take off, fit on (9 Nm).
Coolant thermostat housing cover (3) swivel forward by 90°.
Temperature sensors (4 and 5) unscrew, screw on.
Installation note 
Seals (4a and 5a)
replace according to condition.
Holder (6) unscrew, screw on (21 Nm).
Coolant thermostat housing cover (3) remove, install.
Coolant thermostat (7) remove from coolant thermostat housing cover (3), install.
Installation note 
The profile plate (7a) for the coolant must catch
in the recesses (3a) on the coolant thermostat thermostat housing cover (3).
Sealing ring (8) replace.
Installation note 
The ball valve (arrow) in the coolant thermostat (7)
should be positioned at the highest point.
Coolant pour in Draining, pouring in coolant - anti-freeze protection table .
Cooling system check for leakage Testing cooling system for leaks .

Special tool

IMPORTANT

The coolant thermostat housing (9) is sealed to the coolant pump (10) with an O-ring (arrow). Replace O-ring (arrow) in case of leakage.
