Checking drive pinion and crown wheel for pairing number - AR35.31-P-0550-11A

Each drive pinion and ring gear belonging to a lapped gear set is marked with a serial number which is written on both parts (arrows). Furthermore, the basic distance of the gears from each other to be set for the gear set in question is always specified with the prefix "+" or "-" on the drive pinion.

IMPORTANT

The necessary shim thickness should be calculated for adjusting the drive pinion. The data sheet provided is to be used for this.
