Removal and installation of hydraulic unit (A7) - RA42001240705X(42-0705)

Notes on hydraulic unit 

The two relays (A7K1 and A7K2) governing the solenoid valves and pump motor can be replaced individually (42-0710) . Do not attach the hydraulic unit directly to the body, as excessive noise would result.

Ground cable disconnect, connect at the battery.
Brake line (2 to 6) unscrew, screw on. Immediately seal connections and brake lines with blind plugs 129 589 00 91 00.
IMPORTANT
When installing, do not interchange brake lines.
Identification on the hydraulic unit:
V = from stepped tandem brake master cylinder, front axle brake circuit (2)
H = from stepped tandem brake master cylinder, rear axle brake circuit (3)
I = from hydraulic unit to left front wheel brake (5)
r = from hydraulic unit to right front wheel brake (4)
h = from hydraulic unit to rear wheel brake (6)
Tightening torque 14 Nm.
  Torque wrench 001 589 72 21 00
  Open box wrench socket 000 589 75 03 00
Torx hexagon socket screw (8) detach and remove cover.
Grounding strap (14) unscrew, screw on.
Harness stress relief (12) detach and remove plug (13).
Hexagon nuts (10) unscrew, or, on Model 202, remove rubber caps. Then remove hydraulic unit (A7).
When installing the hydraulic unit ensure that it does not contact the body (noise).
NOTE: Note the following for the hydraulic unit.
After installing the hydraulic unit bleed system and check for leaks (42-0010 and 42-0015).
Test program perform (42-0720). Read out and then erase fault memory (Model 124.034, 129.058/063, 140, 202) according to instructions in Chassis Diagnosis Manual, Volume 2.
