Measuring axial play of output shaft/rear cover - AR27.50-P-0740-06A

TEST VALUES OF GEAR SET

  1. Determine dimension "a" by placing the measuring disc (028) on the sealing surface of the rear cover.
  2. Measure from the measuring disc (028) to the bearing inner race of the ball bearing (67) using a depth gauge.

  3. Mount measuring disc (028) and joint flange.
  4. Lock the parking lock pawl in position as a steady.
  5. Tighten collared nut (62) to 100 Nm.
  6. Mount gasket (72).

  7. Measure dimension "b" by measuring from the measuring disc (028) to the gasket (72) using a depth gauge.
  8. Adjust axial play "E" with shims in accordance with the calculation example.

    Calculation example  :

    Dimension "a" 118.80 mm

    Dimension "b" 116.90 mm

    Difference 1.90 mm

    Axial play "E" 0.40 mm

    Shims 1.50 mm

    IMPORTANT

    The shims on the driver race are available as a spare part in thicknesses of 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9 mm.

  9. Remove measuring ring and joint flange.
