1. Removing and installing EZL/AKR trimming plug connector (R16/2)

2. Adapting ignition point with EZL/AKR trimming plug connector (R16/2) to available fuel 

   The ignition is set for unleaded premium fuel with an octane number of RON 95.

   If regular fuel, for example with an octane rating

   of RON 91 is used, a suitable EZL/AKR trimming plug connector (R16/2) must be fitted (see table).

   If regular fuel is used, the ignition is retarded by the anti-knock control. This increases the overall temperature level of the engine.

   It is therefore urgently recommended to use regular fuel only if no unleaded premium or premium plus fuel is available in exceptional circumstances (see also Owner's Manual).

   Speeds in excess of 200 km/h should be avoided in these cases.

   (1) If no trimming plug connector is fitted, the ignition point at full load is retarded by approx. 3° CA. (2) If engine still pinks, install trimming plug connector 015 545 69 28, resistance 750 Ω. Ignition angle correction -6 °CA.
