Removing and installing electronic accelerator actuator with throttle valve body - AR30.20-P-1262E

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
1 Remove, install hot-wire airflow sensor   AR07.41-P-1453E
2 Loosen hose clamp (32) and remove connecting hose (31). IMPORTANT Note installation position (arrows). *WH58.30-Z-1002-06A 
3 Undo plug-in connection on throttle actuator (M16/1x1) to release wire. IMPORTANT When replacing the throttle actuator ensure that the wiring is routed correctly.

  Wiring for electronic accelerator pedal Model Series 124.034 AR30.20-P-1262-01B
REFER TO COMPONENT MODIFICATIONS Routing of wiring for electronic accelerator pedal changed Model Series 124.036 starting 07/93 BT30.20-P-0001-01A
4 Detach linkage rod (41) and return spring (42). IMPORTANT Note installation position of return spring (42).  
5 Unscrew vacuum line (24, 24a) from brake booster. SPECIAL TOOL Fig 2
6 Pull off vent hose (29) for positive crankcase ventilation at separation point (arrow).    
7 Unscrew bolts (38). IMPORTANT Replace microencapsulated bolts.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA30.20-P-1001-01A 
8 Tilt electronic accelerator pedal throttle actuator (M16/1) with control-side throttle-body opening upward, then rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove. IMPORTANT Clean joint surface and replace gasket (36). Place gasket with Hylomar on the actuator. *BR00.45-Z-1010-01A 
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Adjust throttle control With ASR Code 471a AR30.10-P-1010EA 
    Without ASR Code 471a AR30.10-P-1010EB
