C. Coding radio (4-digit fixed code) 

1. When the radio is disconnected from the power supply it does not function when reconnected. The word "CODE" appears on the display after the ignition and radio are switched on.
2. The code number for the radio is indicated on the enclosed CODE CARD.
3. To enter the first digit of the code number press station button 1 until the correct number appears on the display. Continue in the same manner for the second, third and fourth digits.
4. The word "CODE" disappears when the correct code number is entered with the station buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 and confirmed with the SEEK button (downward). The radio is then ready for operation.
5. If an incorrect CODE is entered three times, reentry is inhibited for 15 minutes. After nine incorrect entries access is inhibited for 24 hours. The radio and ignition (terminal 13) must remain switched on during this waiting period.
