Removing and installing front shock absorber/ADS - AR32.32-P-0605A

MODEL 140 as of 1.6.94, 210 with CODE (217a) Level control at rear axle with ADS

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installation notes     
  The vehicle must be standing on its wheels for removing the top shock absorber mounting.    
IMPORTANTInstallation  Replace self-locking nuts    
1.1 Take off top shock absorber mounting Model 140
NOTES The vehicle must be standing on its wheels for removing the top shock absorber mounting.
IMPORTANT Counterhold piston rod with hexagon socket wrench (waf 5).
NOTESInstallation:  Ensure adequate clearance between damper valve and top track control arm.
 
    Model 140: TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.32-P-1001-01A 
1.2 Take off top shock absorber mounting with anti-twist lock SPECIAL TOOL Model 210
NOTES The vehicle must be standing on its wheels for removing the top shock absorber mounting.
IMPORTANT Counterhold at piston rod.

    Model 210: TORQUE SPECIFICATION
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Model 210, replace plate (17b).

NOTES Pay attention to removal and installation position of shock absorber/ADS Model 210 with code 217a
IMPORTANTModel 210 installation:  Place shock absorber in the installation position; damper valve must be facing towards the suspension dome.

2 Cover all attached parts remaining in vehicle (area to be repaired)    
3 Disconnect electric cable at plug connection of damper valve IMPORTANTInstallation:  Insert clip onto the damper valve and clip in place with electric cable. Ensure the electric cable is correctly routed.  
4.1 Take off shock absorber/ADS at track control arm, remove Model 140   
    Model 140, 210: TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.32-P-1002-01A 
IMPORTANT Tension the front spring for removing the shock absorber/ADS Model 210   
4.2 Insert tensioning plates (01b, 01c) and tensioner (01a).

DANGER Risk of injury  from jamming or bruises  when working on springs or spring bosses which are tensioned Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally shield off hazardous area if necessary.
Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection).
Wear protective gloves.

  Clamp, unclamp front spring   AR32.20-P-0200-01A 
  Take off shock absorber/ADS at track control arm Insert shock absorber/ADS into the hole in the front end and take out between top track control arm/steering knuckle and suspension dome
Model 140, 210: TORQUE SPECIFICATION
*BA32.32-P-1002-01A 
INSPECT Inspecting     
5 Inspect shock absorber/ADS, rubber boot and shock absorber mounting or rubber mount for damage and splits    
  Dispose of shock absorber/ADS   OS32.32-P-0605-01A 
6 Install in the reverse order
