The front and rear springs have been standardized with model 210.
These springs (double rolled springs) are not ground and laid on the top spring runout. The previous color marking, red or blue, is not used anymore.
This has resulted in the following modifications:
- Installed stages of spring rubber mounts (a=height) increased:
Front axle: 5, 9, 13, 17, 21 mm
Rear axle: 5, 9, 13, 17 mm
- A support (arrow) must also be inserted at the top of the front spring
- In the short-term a support has also been inserted at the top of the rear spring on models 202 as well in transition period (12/95) until the modification took effect on the body side.
In the event of a repair it is possible to proceed as follows: When the modified rear spring is used this support must be inserted at the same time on vehicles up to production chassis ident. no. A 384 233, F 369 714 (refer to parts fiche).
A support (arrow) must always be mounted at the top of the front spring as on model 210.
A new spring rubber mount must also be used when the modified springs are used in vehicles prior to 04. or 09.01.96.
