	Remove/install
Installation	Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.
1	Shift transmission to "N" with selector lever	Only then can the propeller shaft be turned.
2	Disconnect ground cable of battery	Installation:  Code radio, set clock, normalize power windows and, with stationary heater, set clock.

3.1	Disconnect connector for O2 sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2x1) on left of engine and unclip cable on transmission	Model 208
3.2	Disconnect connector for O2 sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/1x1) on left of engine and unclip cable on transmission	Model 203/209
4.1	Remove bracket from coolant line on transmission	Model 203/209
5.1	Remove exhaust bracket (4)
5.2	Remove exhaust bracket from connecting flange	Model 203/209
6.1	Unscrew bolt holding transmission to engine (3) with oxygen sensor cable holder at bottom of transmission	Model 208 Still accessible before the lifting tackle is attached.
7.1	Remove hydraulic pump cover (1) on left side of transmission	Model 208
8	Remove connector cover (5) on right side of transmission	Installation:  When inserting, insert lug (arrow) of upper cover.
9	Unplug 2-pin SEQ connector (X22/18) and 18pin SEQ connector (X22/17)	Installation:  Rotate connector (X22/17) and push on connector (X22/18) until it latches.
10	Place lifting equipment under transmission (6) and lash with tensioning strap	Do not trap any cables or lines when lashing. Transmission platform, Refer to GOTIS http://gotis.aftersales.daimlerchrysler.com
11	Remove rear engine mount (8)	Model 208	AR22.10-P-1160HB

12	Remove propeller shaft (9)	Model 208	AR41.10-P-0050EA
13	Remove flexible coupling (10)	Model 203/209

14	Lower transmission slightly and detach	Model 208 nine bolts. Model 203 ten bolts. Installation:  When flange mounting move in transmission in alignment otherwise the needle roller bearing in the flywheel will be irreparably damaged. Check the dowel pins and fitted sleeves (2 pieces). In-line engine: dowel pins on transmission V- engine: fitted sleeves on crankcase.

15	Remove transmission (6) downwards at an angle using lifting equipment
16	Check thrust bearing and deep-groove ball bearing of crankshaft	Check for noise, rough operation, leaks and wear, and replace if necessary.
17	Inspect transmission oil level	The pressure reservoir must be removed in order to check the transmission oil, see:↓
		Remove/install pressure reservoir	AR26.60-D-0015A
		Correct oil level = 10 mm below bottom edge of filler opening. Carry out measurement e.g. with angled hexagon socket wrench.	*BF26.10-P-1001-01C
	Filling capacity of transmission oil revised		BT26.00-P-0001-01A
		Oil drain screw to transmission	*BA26.40-P-1004-01C
		Oil filler plug to transmission	*BA26.40-P-1003-01C
18	Install in the reverse order
19	Check and correct hydraulic oil level		AR26.60-D-0009A
20	Initialize gears	with STAR DIAGNOSIS
