Thrust Arm: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove thrust arm cover. Remove thrust arm-to-axle carrier bolt. See Figure. Remove thrust arm-to-wheel carrier bolt with recess washer.
  2. Turn thrust arm on rear axle carrier downward. Force clamping sleeve from wheel carrier. Remove thrust arm. Replace thrust arm assembly if rubber mounts are worn or damaged.
