Disassembly and assembly of the front door lining - ra72001400103x(0103)

Model 140 (Coupe)

Preliminary work:

Door liner removed (Removal and installation of the lining on the driver's door , B)

Door liner (7)	lay down on suitable surface with front side down.
Clips (arrows)	remove from door liner (7), (10 each), replace damaged clips when reinstalling.
Seat control switch (2)	screw off (3 screws) and remove.
Nuts (arrows) on handle (3)	remove (3 each, 8 and 10 mm).
Handle (3) and sheet metal bracket	remove from door liner.
Housing for door interior actuating mechanism (5)	screw off (3 nuts, 8 mm).
Door interior actuating mechanism (5)	remove from door liner.
Nuts (arrows) on wooden trim panel (6)	screw out.
Cover above door pocket (10)	open.
Wooden trim panel (6)	lift at rear area (arrows) and remove from door liner.
Nuts (arrows) on wooden trim panel (4)	screw out and remove wooden trim panel.
Remaining nuts (5 each) on wooden trim strip (8)	screw out, bend sheet metal tab up (small arrow) and remove wooden trim strip.
Screws (arrows) on trimming (9)	screw out and remove trimming upward (3 insert tabs) while opening cover above door pocket.
Nuts (arrows) on door pocket (10)	screw off, 7 mm.
Door pocket (10)	remove from door liner together with cover and mount.
Trimming (11) at bottom of door liner	remove, screw off nuts (8 mm, 2 each) and press off clips (arrows, 26 each).
Pocket (17)	remove from trimming (11).
Nuts (3 each) and clips (2 each)	remove on air duct (13).
Air duct (13)	remove from door liner.
Air grate (15)	remove by pressing off clips (arrow) and unclipping air grate.
Foam frame (14)	pull off, when installing use MB universal glue, part no. 000 989 82 72.
Round cover plate (16) for locking knob	unclip on door liner and remove.
Foam frame (18)	remove from trimming (11), when installing use MB universal glue, part no. 000 989 82 71.
Clips on loudspeaker grate (19)	press off.
Loudspeaker grate (19)	remove
Reassemble	in opposite order, observe installation note.

Coat nuts and bolts with metric threads with screw securing agent before assembly.

During assembly insert frame for door pocket (10) into mount (arrows) on door liner (7).

Disassembly

Lay door liner (7) down on suitable surface with front side down.

Remove clips (arrows) on door liner (7).

Screw out screws (3 each, arrows) on seat adjustment switch (2) and remove switch.

Screw off nuts (3 each, arrows) on handle (3) (8 or 10 mm).

Remove handle (3) and sheet metal bracket (20) from door liner.

Screw off housing for door interior actuating mechanism (5, 3 nuts, arrows, 8 mm).
Remove door interior actuating mechanism (5) from door liner.

Screw nuts (arrows) off of wooden trim panel (6).
Open cover above door pocket.

Lift wooden trim panel (6) at rear area (arrows) and remove from door liner.

Screw nuts (arrows) off of wooden trim panel (4) and remove wooden trim panel.

Screw remaining nuts (5 each) off of wooden trim strip (8), bend sheet metal tab up (small arrow) and remove wooden trim strip.

Screw off screws (arrows) on trimming (9).

Remove trimming (9) upward (3 insert tabs) while opening cover above door pocket.

Screw nuts (arrows) off of door pocket (10, 7 mm).
Remove door pocket (10) from door liner together with cover and mount.

Remove trimming (11) on door liner, for this purpose screw off nuts (2 each, 8 mm) and press off clips (arrows, 26 each).

Remove pocket (17) from trimming (11).

Screw out nuts (3 each) and press off clips (2 each) on air duct (13).
Remove air duct (13) from door liner.

Remove air grate (15), for this purpose press off clips (arrow) and unclip air grate.
Pull off foam frame (14).
Unclip round cover plate (16) for locking knob on door liner and remove.

Remove foam frame (18) on trimming (11).
Press clips off of loudspeaker grate (19) and remove grate.
Reassemble in opposite order, observe installation note.
