Removing, installing refrigerant injection nozzle - AR83.50-P-1000DA

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing    
DANGER Risk of explosion  through welding or soldering operations on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  through inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  through skin and eye contact with fluid coolant Do not carry out welding operations on closed air conditioning system or around it. Smoking and naked flame are forbidden. Wear protective glasses and protective gloves, work only in well ventilated areas. Only carry out repair operations on air conditioning system circuit with system drained. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A

IMPORTANT Notes for handling refrigerant R134 All models with refrigerant R134a AH83.30-N-0003-01A 
1 Drain air conditioning system (Recycling), purge, fill, check for leaks NOTES Return drawn off compressor oil to refrigerant circuit when filling air conditioning system *BF83.00-P-1001-01A 
2 Remove front fender lining    
3 Remove lining behind longitudinal member, front left IMPORTANT 6 screws  
4 Detach lining of longitudinal member, front left IMPORTANT 2 screws  
5 Remove pressure line (2) on refrigerant shut-off valve, rear IMPORTANT Close openings on shut-off valve (parts set)
Installation:  Replace sealing rings and coat with compressor oil when inserting.
 
6 Pull out refrigerant injection hose (2) NOTES Refrigerant injection nozzle (2) must always be replaced when removing  
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Replace receiver/drier   ra83001400540x
    IMPORTANT Note oil top up amount when replacing receiver/drier *BF83.55-P-1005-01A 
9 Switch on air conditioning system and allow engine to run at idle speed for approx. 4 minutes IMPORTANT Set temperature selection dial to min. (blue)
Blower at max.
 
10 Check air conditioning system function IMPORTANT Air output temperature at air output nozzle eye must not fall below +5°C, if necessary ↓
Carry out diagnosis in accordance with diagnosis manual
 
11 Inspect air conditioning system circuit for leaks   AR83.30-P-1209-01D 
      *WE58.40-Z-1002-20A
