When the temperature selectors are turned, a potentiometer is set. The potentiometer resistance corresponds to the selected temperature and the rear air conditioning pushbutton control module uses this value for comparison with the temperature in the vehicle passenger compartment measured by the interior air temperature sensor.
The temperature selectors allow infinite adjustment of the temperature separately for each side of the car between
- heater off
- heater completely on.
The set temperature is achieved as quickly as possible when it is necessary to heat up the passenger compartment and then held constant.
