Function
Residual engine heat utilization with stationary ventilation allows vehicle to be heated even with ignition OFF
. For this, system uses residual heat of engine and leads it via blower into interior. Residual engine heat utilization is put into operation by pressing rest button (
) on control and operating unit.
Heating water recirculation pump maintains water circuit to heater heat exchanger.
Air quantity is automatically adjusted.
With AAC, air distribution takes place automatically:
- Defroster nozzles leak air 80%
- Footwell nozzles open 100%
Before switching on, ignition key must be turned to position 1 or 0 or withdrawn and rear nozzle must be closed.
Automatic switching off takes place
- if key in steering wheel lock is turned to position 2,
- after approx. 30 minutes,
- if battery voltage falls below 11.5 V.
