Defroster button, function - GF83.40-P-2139-02E

Function
The following components are actuated by pressing the defroster button (
):
- Blower starts running immediately depending on coolant temperature
- Dual valves (bei Typ 129 Monoventil) open
- Coolant circulation pump runs
- Defroster nozzles open (100%)
- System operates with fresh air
- A/C compressor switches on at evaporator temperature of > 3 °C
For defrosting the air outlet temperature corresponds to the temperature actually measured at the heater core.
The temperature is not controlled by comparison with the passenger compartment temperature measured by the in-car temperature sensor.
