Blower, function - GF83.10-P-2102-02A

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 42 other vehicles, including the 1999 Mercedes-Benz S600, 1999 Mercedes-Benz S500, 1999 Mercedes-Benz S420, 1999 Mercedes-Benz S320, and 1999 Mercedes-Benz CL600. Function

The control voltage is switched to the blower regulator via the blower switch integrated into the automatic heater (HEAT)/air conditioning (Tempmatic) control module.

With AAC the air conditioning (AAC) control module compares the control voltage with a stored curve and switches it to the blower regulator which then actuates the blower. Manual operation is possible in 7 stages.

Residual engine heat utilization

In the residual engine heat utilization mode the control voltage is switched to the air conditioning (AAC) control module via the REST button ( RESIDUAL HEAT ).

The voltages specified in the table below are maximum values. Different values can be measured when the recirculated air mode is switched on or the filters are clogged.

The AAC blower control is influenced by the following parameters:

System Maximum power consumption Automatic blower stage control Manual blower stage control
Automatic heater (HEAT) LHS + RHS 26A - 5 +4 intermediate stages
Air conditioning (Tempmatic) 22A - 5 +4 intermediate stages
