The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is triggered when:

• an exterior contact  is actuated
• the brake contact  is actuated, except model 129
• the radio is removed (electrical connector disconnected)
• the ignition is jumpered.

  Model 129 only: 

• the glove compartment is opened (ATA glove box switch (S62/7))
• the center console stowage compartment is opened (ATA center console compartment switch (S62/8))

On vehicles with code 882  also by

• Interior motion sensor (IMS)  , not model 129
• Anti-towing sensor (TS) 

This assumes that the corresponding inputs have been armed by activating the ATA. 

The armed inputs are checked by the ATA control module (N26) twice per second.

If two checks of the same input in sequence indicate that the input is not in the non-actuated state, the PSE control module triggers an acoustic  as well as optical alarm  .
