Pressing off and pressing in radial sealing ring at rear axle housing from the side - AR35.31-P-0540-05A

  SPECIAL TOOL Replace radial sealing ring and coat the sealing lip with universal hypoid gear oil: ↓
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Universal hypoid gear oils (SAE 85 W-90) BB00.40-P-0235-07A

IMPORTANT On the 210 mm dia. rear axle center assembly the side bearing cover must not be unscrewed

Pressing out 

  1. Attach extractor behind rear radial sealing ring
  2. Pull out radial sealing ring (70j)

    Pressing in 

  3. Coat sealing lip of radial sealing ring with universal hypoid gear oil.
  4. Press in radial sealing ring (70j) with alignment tool.
