Removal and installation of rear rubber mounts of rear axle suspension - AR35.10-P-0040-03B

Removal of rubber mount 

  1. Place extractors (01l, 01m, 01n) on rear axle carrier.

    IMPORTANT The arrow (refer to detail) of the upper side of the extractor cone must point in the direction of travel.

  2. Press rubber mount (1b) out of the rear axle carrier.

Installation of rubber mount 

  1. Pull-in tool, 2nd version with extended internal thread of the pull-in plate (01o) and shortened hexagon bolt (01r) 
    1. 3.1 Coat circumference of rubber mount (1b) with lubricant.
    2. 4.1 Mount pull-in tool (01o - 01r) on rear axle carrier.

      IMPORTANT The arrow (refer to detail) on the pull-in plate and the top side of the pull-in plates (01o, 01p) must point in the direction of travel.

    3. 5.1 Pull rubber mount into the rear axle carrier.

  2. Pull-in tool, 1st version without extended internal thread of the pull-in plate (01h) and shortened hexagon bolt 
    1. 3.2 Coat circumference of rubber mount (1b) with lubricant.
    2. 4.2 Mount pull-in tool (01h, 01p) on rear axle carrier.
    3. 5.2 Pull in rubber mount until the thread of hexagon bolt abuts the threaded bolt of the frame floor.
    4. 6.2 Place washers (B12) with a height of approx. 30 mm on the hexagon bolt and pull in rubber mount until it fits closely against the rear axle carrier.
