Removal and installation of headlamp unit - ra82001404730x(4730)

Xenon headlamp
Lethal danger, high voltage
Never touch any conductive parts in the headlamp unit when the lights are switched on.
When working on the headlamp unit ensure that the lights are switched off.
| Cover (1) | take off, insert. |
| Turn signal lamp (E1e5, E2e5) | unclip, remove to the front, insert from the front, clip in place. |

NOTE:
The two lugs (arrows) must be inserted into the guide.

| Electrical connection (2) | unplug, plug in. |
| Wiper arm (3) with headlamp wash/wipe system | remove, install. |
| Expanding rivet (4) | withdraw, insert. |
| Ventilation grille (5) | pull forward, press on. |
| Screws (8 and 9) | remove, screw in. |
| Cover (11) | pull forward carefully, press on. |
| Screws (6, 7 and 10) | remove, screw in. |
| Lamp unit (E1, E2) | withdraw to the front, insert from the front. |
| Electrical connection (12) | disconnect, connect. |
| Pneumatic line for headlamp range adjustment (except vehicles with xenon headlamps, ADS and |
disconnect, connect. |
| Line (13) for headlamp cleaning system | pull off, install. |
| Electrical connection for headlamp cleaning system (14) | disconnect, connect. |
| After installing xenon headlamps | adjust to zero position with HHT, see Diagnosis Manual, Body. |
| Headlamp adjustment (standard and xenon headlamps) | check, correct (see Maintenance Manual volume 3). |
