| Main vacuum line (B) | disconnect at brake booster (A). |
| Vacuum line at ancillaries connection (arrow) | detach, and use 0.8 mm gauge to check that restriction orifice is clear. |
| Vacuum tester (019) 201 589 13 21 00 | connect to ancillaries connection and test vacuum at idling speed. Specification: 700 mbar after 30 s. A specified vacuum reading is not obtained, replace vacuum pump (43-618).
NOTE:
If the roller or bearings of the piston vacuum pump are damaged, check whether the drive flange with cam at the injection timing device is damaged. Replace part, if necessary.
