Adjustment of start of delivery (following check) - wh0761pkw0000x(0761)

Engines 601,602,603 with EGR - A. With position sensor (governor impulse method) B. With digital tester (governor impulse method) 

IMPORTANT Before performing work with engine running, apply parking brake.

On vehicles with automatic transmission shift transmission to position "P".

  1. Adjusting start on delivery with position sensor (governor impulse method) following checking

    Crankshaft turn in direction of rotation to 14° + 0.5° or 15° ATDC on cylinder 1.
    Socket wrench, 27 mm, 001 589 65 09 00
    Mounting bolts (13, 13a) loosen on injection pump flange and support, tighten to 20-25 Nm (guide value).
    Injection pump move by turning adjustment screw (8) on start of delivery adjustment device. Both lamps "A" and "B" on the tester (008) should light up.
    Direction of rotation of adjustment screw (8): 
    Clockwise = retard start of delivery
    Counterclockwise = advance start of delivery
    See table for specified RI value.
    If the adjustment is insufficient, move the injection pump (Removal and installation of injection pump RI 07.1-200 or 07.1-8410).
    Regulating linkage check, adjust, if required (RI 30-300 or 30-1010).
    Leakage check with engine running.

  2. Adjusting start of delivery with digital tester (governor impulse method) following checking

    Mounting bolts (13 and 13a) on injection pump flange and support, loosen, tighten to 20-25 Nm (guide value).
    RI value (indirect start of delivery) adjust by turning adjustment screw (8) on start of delivery adjustment device, for this purpose allow engine to run at idle, shut off.
    Turning direction of adjustment screw (8): 
    Clockwise = retard start of delivery Counterclockwise = advance start of delivery
    See table for specified RI value.
    If the adjustment is insufficient, move the injection pump (Removal and installation of injection pump RI 07.1-200 or 07.1-8410).
    Regulating linkage check, adjust, if required (RI 30-300 or 30-1010).
    Leakage check with engine running.
