Remove range selector lever; unscrew bolt (60) to do this |

Remove detent plate with tapered rod (35, 34) |
|

Bolt is caulked |

Pull linkage (50) out of transmission housing and detach lock pawl (139) |

Remove circlip (52) of pilot bushing (51) |
|
|
| 7 |
Press park detent (53) against spring (54) and press pilot bushing (51) out of transmission housing using a suitable tool |
|

| 8 |
Remove circlip (56) and bearing pin (55) |
|
|
| 9 |
Remove park detent (53) with spring (54) |
|
|
 |
Install |
|
|
| 10 |
Insert park detent (53) and spring (54) into transmission housing and install bearing pin (55) with circlip (56) |
Check O-ring (55a) and replace if necessary |
|
| 11 |
Press park detent (53) against spring (54) as far as stop and insert pilot bushing (51) into transmission housing so that the park detent snaps into the recess of the pilot bushing |
Press in pilot bushing until it snaps into place
Check O-ring (51 a) and replace if necessary |

Install circlip (52). |

Insert linkage (50) into transmission housing and attach lock pawl (139) |
