Installation of internally geared wheel, sun gear and planet carrier - AR27.50-P-0740-04A

  1. Carefully insert internally geared wheel (170) in the overdrive brake multi-discs

    IMPORTANT

    The internally geared wheel (170) is correctly assembled when it fits tightly against the thrust ring (arrow) after being lifted up gently.

  2. Insert sun gear (171).

  3. Insert planet carrier (168) in the internally geared wheel (170).

    IMPORTANT

    Ensure that the inner thrust bearing (169) sticks to the planet carrier.

  4. Mount outer thrust bearing (169).
  5. Place shims (166) on intermediate shaft (167).
