Installing piston K1 outer multi-disc carrier - AR27.51-P-0800-01A

Check for leaks between outer multi-disc carrier (1) and piston guide ring (18) 

  1. Pour some paraffin or petroleum ether into the piston guide ring (18) and check for leaks.

    IMPORTANT

    If there are leaks, press out snap ring (16), remove piston guide ring (18) and replace sealing ring (17).

    When installing the piston guide ring (18), ensure correct seating of the ball (19).

    Installation 

  2. Insert radial lip-type sealing rings (12 and 13) in piston (2).

    IMPORTANT

    The sealing lips must point downwards (in the direction of the arrow).

  3. Place insert sleeve (021) and (022) in outer multi-disc carrier (1).
  4. Lubricate insert sleeves and radial lip-type sealing ring with ATF oil and carefully insert piston (2) and press into outer multi-disc carrier (1) without canting it over.
