Removing, installing, dismantling and assembling lower cover with intermediate plate - RA27037220430X(27-430)

Preceding work: Removing, installing shift valve body (27-400) .

NOTE:
Ensure the utmost cleanliness at all times when working on the shift valve body. Work should be performed on a plastic base as far as possible. Fuzzy cloths must not be used; chamois leathers are particularly suitable. After dismantling, all parts must be washed and blown dry with compressed air.
| Oil filter (5) | Remove, install. Unscrew, screw in screws (6), 4 Nm. |
| Detent spring (142), bracket (141) and hexagon bolt (140) | Remove, install, 8 Nm. |
| Bolts (8) | Unscrew, screw on, 8 Nm |
| Complete intermediate plate (14) with lower cover and oil pipe (9) | Remove, mount 8 Nm. |
| Injector (118) | Remove, install by rotating. |
| Cover plate (12) and oil pipe (9) | Remove; unscrew, screw on bolts (8), 8 Nm, then remove intermediate plate (14) and gasket (19). |
| Lower cover | Dismantle and assemble, check parts. |
NOTE:
In vehicles without secondary pump as of 06/91, the following parts are not used any more:
- Retaining plate (16)
- Shift valve, secondary pump (17)
- Spring (18)
- Plug (24)
- Valve (25)
