Front transmission cover (10) Remove, install by unscrewing, screwing in hexagon bolts (18), 13 Nm. Check seal (19) (items 1,2).
Teflon rings (9) Remove, insert, secure in place with grease. Gap in rings must remain closed (item 3).
Snap ring (15) Remove, insert by clamping spring plate (13) with assembly device 201 589 12 43 00 (item 4).
Spring plate (13) and return springs (14) Remove, install (item 5).
Plunger LB3 (12) Pull out, check lip sealing rings (16, 17) and replace if necessary. See installation note in item 6, guide sleeve 126 589 02 14 00.
Primary pump (1-4) Remove, install by slackening hexagon bolts (8), 20 Nm. Take out pump wheels (3 and 4), insert and check. Chamfer on primary pump wheel (4) must face towards bearing bush or radial roller bearing in primary pump housing cover (items 7-9).
Radial sealing ring (6) and O-ring (7) Check and replace if necessary; also check radial roller bearing in primary pump housing cover (items 10 and 11).

Removing and installing

  1. Unscrew hexagon bolts.
  2. Screw two bolts into threaded bores (arrows) and use these to pull out the front cover (10).

    Installation note

Clean sealing surface of front transmission cover, check gasket for damage and replace if necessary. The gasket can generally be used several times. It must not be coated with sealing compound.

Coat bolts with non-hardening sealing compound and tighten to 13 Nm.
