Transmission (1) Lower a little at the rear by removing/installing rear engine mount. Disconnect plug for starter lockout switch (items 1-3)
Cover (46) Press in and remove with snap ring (47). Check O-ring (48) and replace if necessary (item 4).
Axial retainer nut (44) Unscrew, screw in, 8 Nm (item 5).
Axial retainer (43, illustration item 6) Turn to correct position with a screwdriver.
Centrifugal governor (50) Remove, install. Check regulator valve (items 8 and 9).
Helical gear (41) Detach by removing circlip (40). When installing, the driver pin must engage in the bore in the helical gear (item 8).

  9. Move flyweights and check smoothness of control valve in the openings (arrows).

The regulator valve must move easily. If necessary, wash out the centrifugal governor and blow-dry with compressed air. If the regulator valve cannot be made to run smoothly, replace the centrifugal governor.

In this case, use the helical gear (41) from the old centrifugal governor.
