Remove/install steering idler arm, replacing plain rubber mount - AR46.40-P-0300B

| 3 | Remove heat shield (26h) | ||
| 4 | Unscrew nut (26b). Pull out bolt (26a) and remove steering idler arm (26) together with bearing tube (26i) | *BA46.40-P-1002-05A | |
| 5 | Use a screwdriver to raise sealing lip. Take slide bushing out of the bearing tube (26i) | ||

| The steering idler arm is adjusted in a defined position "a" = 22.7 mm on the bearing tube (26i) | The adjusted position may be changed by a maximum of 5 mm by correcting the ball point position. If the specified ball point position is not reached within this adjustment range the bearing tube/front axle carrier is deformed | ||
