Removal and installation of the starter - ra15001407100x(7100)

A. Engine 104, B. Engine 119, C. Engine 120, D. Engine 603 Model 140 

Operation no. of operation texts and work units or standard texts and flat rates:

  1. Engine 104 

    Preliminary work:

    Rear engine compartment panel removed (61-0105).

    Ground cable at battery disconnect, connect.
    Hose holder (1) with ASD/ASR unscrew, screw on.
    Bolts (2) unscrew, screw on.
    Electric wiring (3 and 4) at starter (M1) disconnect, connect; withdraw starter (M1) as far as possible for this purpose.
    Starter (M1) remove downward, insert from below.
  2. Engine 119 

    Preliminary work:

    Rear engine compartment panel removed (61-0105).

    Ground cable at battery disconnect, connect.
    Bolts (1) unscrew, screw in.
    Nut (2) unscrew, screw on.
    Shield (3), if present remove, install.
    Electric wiring (4 and 5) at starter (M1) disconnect, connect.
    Screws (6) unscrew
    Starter (M1) take out from below, insert from below; when doing this, take off existing spacer disc(s) (8) and splash guard (7), if necessary, and fit on.
  3. Engine 120 

    Preliminary work:

    Rear engine compartment panel removed (61-0105).

    Ground cable at battery disconnect, connect.
    Steering Turn to full left lock.
    Electric wiring (1 and 2) at starter (M1) disconnect, connect.
    Bolts (3) unscrew, screw in.
    Starter (M1) take out from below, insert from below; when doing this, take off existing spacer disc(s) (4), if necessary, and fit on.
  4. Engines 603, 606 

    Preliminary work:

    Front and center noise encapsulation removed (94-5310 and 94-5355).

    Ground cable at battery disconnect, connect.
    Electric cables (1 and 2) at starter (M1) disconnect, connect.
    Bolts (3) unscrew, screw in.
    Ground cable (4) pull off, fit on.
    Starter (M1) take out, insert.
