Measure absolute angle of front and rear propeller shaft - AR41.10-P-0085-02A

The vehicle must be standing on its wheels for the measurement.

Secure steel straightedge to one of the two upper or lower tapped holes of measuring socket (010a) (arrows).
Position measuring socket (010a) at front or rear propeller shaft.

Ensure that the V-type support of the measuring socket makes contact with propeller shaft tube and not with a wheel weight. Adjust the V-type supports accordingly at the measuring socket (010a).
Read off and note down absolute angle (e.g. 2° 10').

Always read off absolute angle at steel straightedge from left-hand side of vehicle.

If necessary on vehicles with 3-part propeller shaft, remove and install exhaust shielding plate and measure from front propeller shaft to intermediate shaft or from intermediate shaft to rear propeller shaft.
