Checking the propeller shaft companion plates for wear - wh4152pkw0000x(4152)

Companion plates
NOTE: If worn or damaged, replace companion plates at extra cost.
check for wear and damage as well as deformation (visual check).
NOTE: On the radially softer (soft thrust) and tangentially softer (soft tension and thrust) companion plates mounted on the transmission side, check the lands in the area of the fitted sleeves (arrows) for cracks (visual check).

If deformed, release tension on propeller shaft. If deformation is still present, replace companion plate on separate order.
