Removing and Installing Exhaust System Downstream of Flanged Joint - RA49001190045X(49-0045)

REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR MUFFLER
| Bolted joint (9c, 9d) | slacken, tighten. Replace self-locking nut (9c) and bolt (9d). Tightening torque 20 Nm as reference value. |
| 3-hole flat gasket (9b) | replace, ensure correctly installed. |
| Rear muffler (9) | detach from rubber ring (18), attach. |
| Rubber ring (18) and rubber pad (13) | check suitability for re-use; replace, if necessary. |
REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTER MUFFLER
| Rear muffler (9) | remove, install. |
| Self-locking bolts (36b) | unscrew, screw in, replace. |
| Left frame cross strut (36), washer (36c) and reinforcing plate (36a) | Tightening torque 120 Nm. |
| Left frame cross strut (36), washer (36c) and reinforcing plate (36a) | take off, fit on. |
| Bolted joint (3, 8) | slacken, tighten. Replace self-locking nut (3). Tightening torque 20 Nm as reference value. |
| Bolts (24, 26a), washers (20), suspension plate (25) and tensioning plate (26) | detach, attach, check, replace if necessary. Tightening torque 20 Nm as reference value. |
| Center muffler (7) | take off, fit on. |
| Centered seal (5), flange (5a) and graphite seal (5b) | check suitability for re-use, replace if necessary, pay attention to correct installation. |
| Leak-tightness of all connection points | check with engine running. |
NOTE:
If necessary, clean the tapered connection pieces of the pipes (2, 7) and seal (5) from combustion or corrosion residues with emery cloth.
Pay attention to correct installation of parts.
