Torque Strut: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Loosen torque strut-to-axle carrier nut. Push wheel carrier forward to unload torque strut. Remove torque strut-to-axle carrier bolt and nut. See Figure.
- Remove torque strut-to-wheel carrier bolt and nut. Using a puller, remove torque strut from wheel carrier. Replace torque strut assembly if rubber mounts are worn or damaged.
WARNING:
During torque strut installation, when lifting wheel carrier until rear axle shaft is horizontal, ensure vehicle does not lift off of hoist. Add additional weight to trunk as necessary.
