Thrust Arm: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove thrust arm cover. Remove thrust arm-to-axle carrier bolt. See Figure. Remove thrust arm-to-wheel carrier bolt with shaped washer.
- Turn thrust arm on rear axle carrier downward. Force clamping sleeve from wheel carrier. Remove thrust arm. Replace thrust arm assembly if rubber mounts are worn or damaged.
WARNING:
During thrust arm installation, when lifting wheel carrier until rear axle shaft is horizontal, ensure vehicle does not lift off of hoist. Add additional weight to trunk as necessary.
