Removal & Installation
- If vehicle is equipped with Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) or Self-Leveling Suspension, release hydraulic pressure in suspension system. See HYDRAULIC PRESSURE RELEASE. Remove trunk lining. On all vehicles, remove nut and rubber ring of upper shock mount.
- Disconnect hydraulic line (if equipped). Raise and support vehicle. Remove lower suspension arm cover. See Figure. Remove shock absorber mounting bolt and shock absorber from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. On vehicles with Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) or Self-Leveling Suspension, refill hydraulic portion of system. See HYDRAULIC SYSTEM REFILL.
