System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position. SRS warning light will glow and then go out after 4-10 seconds if no fault codes are present. Following conditions indicate SRS is malfunctioning and an SRS fault code will be stored in control unit memory.

SRS light does not glow when ignition is turned on.
SRS light does not go out after 4-10 seconds.
SRS light does not go out after engine is started.
SRS light comes on or flickers while driving.
