Reading Diagnostic Trouble Code Memory
NOTE:
Reading Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory can be done with Hand Held Tester (HHT) or STAR DIAGNOSIS scan tool, and the Impulse Counter Tester depending upon the chassis number.
NOTE:
Diagnostic Trouble Codes may also be referred to as "reading out fault memory".
- Turn ignition ON.
- Press start button for 2-4 seconds.
- Read and record diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
- Press start button again for 2-4 seconds.
- Read and record diagnostic trouble code.
Repeat listed steps until first diagnostic trouble code reappears.
