Removal & Installation

NOTE: During removal and installation procedures the numbers in parentheses, within steps, correspond to numbers inside the illustration(s). The word arrow(s) in parentheses, within steps, is used to point out specific components or movement.
  1. Remove radio. See RADIO  .
  2. Ignition switch in OFF position.
  3. Catch for heater control panel, press upward (arrows). See Figure .
  4. Heater control panel (5), pull out while pressing catch up.
  5. Disconnect plug connectors (2 each).
  6. Remove screw (1) in center of center shelf.
  7. Remove screws (2 and 3) below center shelf.
  8. Lift cover (6) at rear and pull downward out of upper catches.
  9. Disconnect connectors on switches.
  10. Remove cover (6).
  11. Soft/Hard top switch (S84), unclip from rear of cover and remove towards the rear.
  12. Reinstall in opposite order.
  13. Check general function of control.
